Back in 2014, We Drifters founder Naudia Salmon travelled to South East Asia to explore a side of the world she’d never seen before. It was beautiful, but there was one thing that kept bugging her – bugs!
Tired of spraying insect repellent, wearing restrictive head nets and squeezing into sleeping bag liners, she came up with an idea. Why not avoid insect bites with our own pyjamas?
So, she created a comfy premium sleepwear from soft bamboo and anti-insect technology to keep the bugs at bay.
I am meant to be going glamping in June, although with how everything is at the moment, it may be cancelled now. I was sent some We Drifters sleepwear to try out so I have been wearing them at home and they are so comfortable!
We Drifters are premium sleepwear designed for comfort and peace of mind, perfect for your travel at home or away. Their super soft and breathable bamboo is lightweight and impregnated with HHL Technology Vital Protection – a revolutionary insect protection that is OEKO-TEX® approved. It is 90% effective against many biting insects, including mosquitoes, midges, ticks, bed bugs, sand flies and fleas. The treatment is invisible and odourless, with no unpleasant feel or effect to the fabric. The pyjamas are also sweat wicking, odour resistant, anti static and help with temperature control. I think that pretty much ticks every box when travelling and wanting some comfort during the night!
The sleepwear set includes the top and trousers for pyjamas, socks and 2-in-1 pillow case/storage bag. There are stirrups on the trousers and thumb holes on the top to ensure you are fully covered and you can even turn the pjs into a onesie by attaching the top and bottoms with button holes. The trousers have zipped pockets, perfect if you want a bit of extra security for your cash when you are sleeping.
I have been really impressed with these pj’s, the fabric has a lovely stretch to it and fits well. I have washed them a few times and the quality doesn’t decline at all. The sizes and design is unisex and go for XS to XL. I am a size 8-10 and went with the size small. I think the XS would have fit but I like a more relaxed fit when I am sleeping. I love that the storage bag can be used as a pillow case and that after using the pj’s, I can put them together in the bag with the socks so everything is together for travelling.
We Drifters have also partnered with Work For Good to donate £2 from every pair of pyjamas sold to Malaria No More.
