I have recently been using some new washing tablets to do our laundry. Simply sent me some Pure Allergen and Fragrance Free Non-Bio Powder Tablets* and Sensitive Non-Bio Soluble Powder Tablets* to see what I thought of them.
Simply washing tablets have been dermatologically and clinically tested and are approved by the Vegan Society. They have also been awarded the European Eco-Label. They are made here in the UK, in Yorkshire.
The tablets are designed to go into the drawer of your washing machine and dissolve, I must say I did find it easier to just put a tablet in rather than measure my usual liquid but the occasional one didn’t fully dissolve and left residue with some of the packaging in the drawer. However, these were far and few between and didn’t effect the wash quality of the clothes.
The Simply washing tablets are perfect for people with sensitive skin, eczema sufferers and babies. The ingredients are all bio-degradable, non-bio and phospate free. Both washing tablets left my clothes feeling soft without the need to add fabric conditioner into the wash, clean and fresh. The only difference I could tell between the tablets is that the sensitive non-bio tablets have a subtle fragrance, it is a nice fragrance though, not an overwhelming synthetic smell you can get with some other brands.
The tablets are available from Sainsburys at £4.50 for 18 tablets or from Amazon* in larger packs of 48, 54, 100 and 200 from £14.58 x
If you are looking for good products for Eczema you could try dr-harley.com stuff, it ends eczema =]
I think these are the ones my sister has for my nephews who have awful eczema x
I haven’t heard of Dr. Harley before. We don’t have eczema, I use non bio as it’s kinder to Lucas’ skin x
My skin is terrible with new washing powders and I struggle to find one that doesn’t irritate it – will look out for this
Ooohh, both my girls suffer from excema really badly. I thought I’d tried every product on the market but this one is a new one to me.
I told my dad ut was his fault as excema is hereditary. He laughed before pointing out what I already knew. He’s my Stepdad! Duh.
Haha, that’s funny. Hopefully these will be good for the girls skin x
My daughter suffers with eczema so I should have a look at these. I’ve never heard of the brand before x
That sounds like a great product for those with sensitive skin and eczema.
I think I tried these when Toby was tiny but ended up drifting back to other brands. His eczema is still a nightmare to control so I might have to try these again xx
These sounds really good as I tend to react on some washing tablets. I will give them a go next time I need washing tablets. 🙂
