Make ordering for the family easy with #PrezzoLaFamiglia

Last week we went to Prezzo in Preston to try out their La Famiglia sharing bowl. The sharing bowl is available in Penne Arrabiata, Spaghetti Bolognese, Spaghetti Carbonara or Penne Alla Rusticana. They sat us at our table and gave Lucas a colouring sheet and crayons.

It was so nice to go out to eat and rather than being overwhelmed with all the choices and taking forever to choose, we had a simple choice of choosing something we would all enjoy. When I was younger, we always sat round the table together and there would be a big bowl in the middle of the table for us to tuck into. I love the simplicity of that, the togetherness, serving it out to each other.

The sharing bowls serve up to 4 people, we went as 3 adults and Lucas (2 year old). We chose the Penne Alla Rusticana which was penne pasta with seasoned chicken, pancetta, peppers and rosemary in a creamy pomodoro sauce. There was plenty of pasta for each of us, and D and I eat a lot, we do enjoy big portions and we didn’t have to scrimp here. We also had 2 garlic breads, one plain and one cheese. They whole meal was absolutely delicious, it was cooked to perfection and the garlic bread wasn’t greasy as it sometimes can be. We finished the meal with ice cream.

The food was incredible and we have said we would love to go back. Lucas was a pain. He was ‘that child’ that you used to wish their parents would take out. He even had an issue with us when we gave him chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla! He did eat the majority of the cheese garlic bread so that definitely got his thumbs up. The staff were fab and even brought him a snowman teddy over to try and pacify him. I think we would have been better going at lunch time with Lucas. Lesson learnt for our next visit x
