I have loved every minute of Lucas’ first Christmas.
At the end of November, D and I took Lucas to meet Father Christmas for the first time. We went to Barton Grange Garden Centre during their baby week. It was amazing, from walking into Barton Grange and seeing the fabulous Christmas displays to going into Santas grotto. The walkway up to Father Christmas was lined with beautiful lights and Christmas trees, we walked around the corner to see Father Christmas sat in his sleigh. The elves and Father Christmas were incredible, very friendly and Father Christmas looked like the real one! He greeted Lucas and gave him a gift bag which included an elf teddy and book. We also had a photo taken of all three of us with Father Christmas which was printed out for us to keep.
At the beginning of December we had breakfast with Father Christmas at Wyevale garden centre. Lucas really enjoyed this, he seems to love eating with lots of other people around. He also loves the attention he gets from my friends little girl who we had breakfast with. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked.
My friend from Chanel and Belle made Lucas an elf door so we could start ‘Elf on the shelf’ tradition and also bought him an elf that came with a book for us to fill in.
We had planned to go to the Christmas tree festival at our Church but unfortunately Lucas had a tummy bug and chesty cough so we didn’t make it. Luckily he was better for Christmas Day.
We put out a glass of Baileys, a mince pie and carrot on Christmas Eve for Father Christmas and Rudolph.
Lucas enjoyed opening his presents and seeing all the family. On Christmas Day we went to my Grandmas for lunch and then round to my Mums in the evening, she had all of my Dads side of the family round. On Boxing Day we relaxed and stayed in playing with Lucas’ new toys before going to my Aunties in the evening who had all of my Mums side of the family round. Lucas was in his element seeing everybody and trying lots of new foods from the buffets x

I love a baby’s first Christmas and even though they may not realise what is going on, there are so many memories for them to look back on. Breakfast with Santa sounds really good I may have to keep an eye out next year for one. #JustAnotherLinky
