If you have never been to a beach, they must all look the same to you in your imagination. An expanse of golden sand gently caressed by water in intervals. Connected to what seems like an endless expanse of crystal-like water. The sun, the warmth, and the light sea breeze that calms the soul. For those of you who have been to the beach can verify that all of these are essential aspects of a beach but not necessarily the whole holiday. If you are reading this, it is most probable that you are not simply visiting your local beach but planning a holiday for yourself, which may or may not include the company of friends or/and family.
Choose your Location
Every single landscape of the world is different from the other. This is why every mountain range, every plain, and meadow has something entirely exquisite to offer compared to the other. Similarly, there are a lot of countries and then cities within these countries that offer a varied aspect of the sea. Italy is home to some of the most stunning beaches in the world. If you are a fan of history and art, then perhaps choose Amalfi. But not if you wish for more peace and calm, as they are lively and busy. The beaches in Sorrento are known for their pizzerias and the most spectacular view of the Bay. You can now find villas in Sorrento quite quickly as well if you are planning to pamper yourself and your loved ones (even on a budget) and then about 13 more.
Food Food Food!
Most people travelling sometimes forget that you actually cannot eat scenery no matter how delectable it may seem. Putting in as much effort, time, and money does not guarantee a satisfied tummy. Some beaches may not have any proper dining near the coast, so you may have to consider packing a picnic. Hence research and choose beaches with restaurants or cafes that have food to your taste and dietary restrictions.
Water has its Temperaments
If surfing is what you are looking forward to, then be sure to check the kind of waves that is particular to a destination. Whether the waves are high enough to surf or not. And most importantly, to have a trained lifeguard on the beach.
Warm or Cold
There are warm as well as cold beaches. While the picturesque ideal is the warm sunny one, you have no obligation to pick over a serene cold one, especially if you are not very fond of the great hot sun.
Every coast has its own set of rules and regulations. They are not necessarily bad or good but mostly just manicured to keep a certain experience at best. So if you want to stay late, do beach sports, bring barbeque sets, then make sure to select a destination that allows all.
Do your research, pack carefully and make sure to have plenty of fun.
