With gloves, it’s worth considering thermal or insulated types that offer protection from the cold without reducing your dexterity. Gloves that are touchscreen-compatible are a lifesaver if you’re planning on taking lots of snaps on your phone while you’re out and about in the cold winter air.
Skincare essentials
It’s easy to forget just how harsh winter temperatures and weather can be on your skin. From chapped lips to dried-out skin, a day out in the winter can leave you feeling far from your best if you aren’t prepared with the proper skincare.
A rich and hydrating moisturiser is important for keeping your skin feeling its best, as well as hand cream to prevent your hands from feeling dry. Lip balm is another essential, and one that doesn’t take up much room in either a handbag or suitcase.

You want to make your Christmas break feel as magical as possible, so bringing along some extra decorations can help add to the seasonal spirit of any accommodation. Whether it’s fair lights, some tinsel or a few small ornaments, these small touches can really add to the Christmassy mood.
