Lucas was recently sent a Hippychick Totseat* to review. The Totseat portable highchair is made of robust, washable and comfortable fabric, which is Oeko-Tex approved and suitable for babies from around 8 – 30 months. It is very versatile converting high-backed, low-backed, knobbly, open-backed or rounded dining chairs into a safe high chair for your baby.

It is really easy to use, you slip the Totseat over the back of a chair, adjust the length if needed, sit baby on to it and clip it behind the chair. It has a cummerbund to prevent the baby from going through the back of a gappy chair, as well as providing additional support, if required, when wrapped around a chair and child.

The first couple of times Lucas used it, he really didn’t like it. I’m not sure why as he has used various chairs before but for some reason after the third time he liked it. He looks quite impressed with himself sitting on a proper chair like Mummy. The only downside to it is that he is low down at the table but if the Totseat had a bumper part it wouldn’t be as easy to carry  so I wouldn’t want that adding. I can just put a cushion under him when we are taking it to family houses.

The Totseat retails at £24.50 which I think is great value for the amount of use we will get out of it. It is perfect for taking on days out and holidays x

  1. This looks awesome, such a good idea as it fits any chair. I will definitely be getting one of these when I have kids in the future 🙂

  2. Wow!that is really creative and nice. This saves lots of money rather than buying the one whole set. Will try this on my next baby. Thanks.
