My brother is getting married in August so when Norma and Dorothy contacted me to see if I would like to review some of their products, I immediately thought of personalised wedding gifts. Norma and Dorothy have a stunning array of gifts for teachers, weddings, anniversary’s, Fathers Day, birthdays etc and they are all hand finished at their studio in Manchester. Their website is just beautiful and immediately gives you the feel of the brand.
Their range of unique personalised wedding gifts is the perfect way to celebrate a friend or loved one’s big day. There are prints, keepsakes, candles, homeware and much more to choose from. First of all I chose a card for my brother to open on the morning of the wedding. We are going away in a couple of weeks and won’t be back until the night before the wedding so I thought it would be nice to get him a card and leave it with my Mum to give him from me. The card features a light central circle within the card’s textured background and is home to the card’s central message, written in a calligraphic font combined with a simpler typeface. Deep hues of navy blue and black are mixed with lighter tones of cornflower blue and white in the floral illustrations that brush the circle’s edges. Finally, a careful selection of copper gems and sapphires twinkle from around them. The inside is left blank for me to write my own message. The card is such high quality and that it the same for all the gifts. They really do look very luxurious.
I am sure my brothers fiancée will have kept lots of keepsakes during the planning of the wedding so I thought a wedding scrap book would be ideal for her to keep things in that include the planning and the wedding day. The charming memory album is available in A4 or A5 and features ‘Our Wedding Day’ in romantic style lettering and is personalised with the names of your choosing, the date and venue and a heart detail which are all displayed in your choice of foil colour. The books are available in 6 colours, I opted for pink as my brothers fiancée is a very pink person and I know their bridesmaid dresses are also pink. The foil is available in 4 colours and I went with rose gold which I think looks perfect against the pink. The bronze wire binding finishes it off beautifully, giving it a luxe feel. A premium metal pen in a choice of 3 colours can also be added, which I went for rose gold. The book has 80 pages so there is plenty of space for them to stick photos, momento’s and write notes.
A sure way of making sure neither of them forget their anniversary is by having drink coasters out on the coffee table to remind each of them! The coasters are handcrafted at their studio using high quality natural slate. They can be customised using names and dates and are cheaper, the more coasters you purchase.
I adore candles and think they make lovely gifts. This personalised candle is filled with a scented natural wax that burns for up to 40 hours. The glass has a matt white finish whilst the engraved part is clear so that the candle light shines through the design for a unique finish. It is available in 4 carefully curated scents. I chose Cassis and Wild Fig, a sweet, soft fragrance with fresh undertones of berries. A comforting scent reminiscent of home in the Spring time.
