Getting ready for winter with Protest clothing

October 3, 2020 by Jenni

Sponsored PR Sample

Earlier in the year, I was very lucky to be chosen as one of the Protest Womenswear ambassadors and was sent a beautiful summer outfit. I am very thankful to have been chosen again as their clothing is incredible quality.

This Autumn Winter collection for women is a true representation of what Protest does best. This collection is a three-way fusion of evolving fashion trends, incredible colour and mountain functionality. Technical fabrics are represented in colours and prints that reflect looks that you see on the street, while they concentrate on doing this in the most earth-friendly way possible.

Protest have a huge range of men’s fleeces and skiing jackets for men. As well as the ski wear, they also have a fab streetwear collection for men, women and children. The temperature has dropped here now so I looked at the women’s fleeces first but then decided that I would really like a new waterproof women’s ski jacket that will keep me warm on our winter walks.

I’m stood next to a corn field wearing a red and black floral dress, black ankle boots and a black coat from protest sportswear

After spending far too long looking and wondering whether I hadn’t a bright jacket, bold jacket or patterned jacket, I opted for a plain black jacket! I loved the look of the material and like that it can be used during the day or over a dress to go out in the evening without looking too casual but keeping me warm which is the most important element to me.

I’m wearing the black ski jacket from protest clothing with a blue bobble hat and red floral dress. The coat is zipped up

I am so glad I did because I love it. The material is exactly as I imagined, soft yet tough to beat the elements. The Protest March ski jacket is available is size XS to XXL, I chose the medium. I think small would have fit but I like to size up in winter jackets to allow for layers and hoodies underneath. The jacket has 10K water resistance and 10g breathability. Softshell fabric is three layers compressed into one. The result is material that is windproof, water-resistant and warm. The side pockets are zippered and there’s a waist gaiter on the inside of the jacket. The high collar is made from ribbed fabric for extra protection from the elements.

Lucas and I smiling at the camera both wearing beanies from protest

I also chose the Protest Morgan beanie with a pom-pom in space blue although it does come in 3 colour options. This is available in 55cm for children and 57cm for adults. Featuring a double-layered knit made with colourful yarn, there is a knitted rib at the rim of the hat. On the inside, there is a fleece band lining so my head stays nice and warm.

Not wanting to completely neglect Lucas and D, I treated them both to matching beanies! The Protest Fedder 19 beanie is available in 2 sizes. 55cm for children and 59cm for adults. This is available in 3 colours but I got them both black. This wool-mix beanie is fully lined with fleece so the wind can’t make it through and they stay warmer.
