How are you managing with lockdown? We are 2 weeks in and it is starting to wear a bit thin now, homeschooling isn’t my strong point. Thankfully, the weather has been lovely so far so we have been enjoying a lot of time in the garden and we are allowed to go for a walk as long as we stay with 1km of the house so we’ve been getting exercise and a slight change of scenery with that.

The nice weather has given me an excuse to try my new clothes from Protest. Protest started off in Holland in 1993 and have an incredible selection of snow boarding wear, swimwear, beachwear and accessories, depending on the time of the year. They cater for the full family too from toddlers to adults. I absolutely love the designs and it took a while to choose what I wanted to order as I would happily wear anything in their womens wear section.

I had a good browse through the swimwear section, they have a huge range from push up bikinis, swimsuits, halter neck bikinis, triangle bikinis, tankinis, underwired bikinis, surf bikinis, bandeau bikinis and mix and match. I opted for the Soledo 20 bandeau bikini. This bikini comes in two shades of pink, black or grey. I went with the grey and it features a gorgeous knotted detailing at the chest. The straps are removable so that you can wear the bikini top as a bandeau. There is silicone tape on the inside of the bikini to help keep it in place. There are removable foam cups and the bikini has a regular fit. The fabric is also PFC-free in an effort to reduce the use of this chemical and thereby it’s harm to the environment.

I can’t shop for myself without Lucas trying to add something to the order. He chose some gorgeous grey and green swim shorts in the sale section. They are a fab boardshorts style and I love the colour block on them and they have a pocket at the back. They are going to be perfect for when we can go back to the beach and for his swim lessons this summer. I got a size up from what he wears and due to the elasticated waistband and tie cord, they can be fastened to fit him so they are going to last longer too!

Shorts and t-shirt

I love my new shorts! They are available in 3 colour ways and I went for canyon red, the brightest with pink, orange and blues. They are made from a cotton blend and there is a band of crocheted lace at the waist with a cord drawstring. To complement them, I chose a rosebud top. This gorgeous soft vest top is made from a cotton blend and has a gorgeous lace insert at the back and over the shoulders. The outfit screams Summer and is so comfortable!

  1. I am for sure loving the swimwear and clothes! Love this and glad that you and yours are holding up in the midst of all the crazy going on right now 🙂 We too are enjoying the outdoors as much as we can…even if in the yard but the past few days have been rainy. Holding in though and staying creative and heading over to check out Protest.

  2. I am really looking forward to summer and sitting outside more…hopefully by then the virus will have died down and we can fully enjoy it! Great swim pieces for the new season.

  3. I am trying to think about summer and I hope everything in the world starts to calm down by the time summer rolls around! I hope you are doing well. It’s been mentally challenging for our family to self-quarantine.
