Jana Reinhardt jewellery designs are inspired by the natural world and the naive art movement. They don’t use machine manufacture, preferring the old techniques of wax carving and fabrication to create our products. These traditional methods have no negative effect on the environment, making Jana Reinhardt a more sustainable choice for jewellery lovers.

All metals used are from accredited suppliers, based in the UK and Germany, that continually buy back and recycle scrap metal, thus helping to create more environmentally friendly jewellery.

I’m stood with the countryside in the background. I wearing a floral v neck dress and the Jana whale necklace

I was very kindly gifted a Whale Pendant Necklace. This finely detailed whale necklace, handmade by Jana, is a must-have for anyone who appreciates these gentle giants of the sea.  Part of their animal collection, the whale is considered by many cultures as the guardian of oceans and sea travel, making this pendant a great choice of gift for someone going travelling.

The whale’s totem is also associated with compassion and solitude. Whales are able to dive into the depths of the sea and endure immense forces. So if the whale is your animal, it’s likely you can take a lot of emotional and physical pressure. Remember though, just like the whale, you need to surface and take a breath every now and again. This necklace could act as a special reminder for you, or someone you know, that sometimes we all need to let go and forgive.

Silver whale necklace from Jana Reinhardt

The necklace is absolutely stunning, it is so beautifully created and perfect for wearing both during the day and on evenings out. Jana can add an extra piece to it too, to make even more special with a water spout coming from it. Shining with blue sapphires, iolite and topaz, wear it whenever you want to add sparkle to your day.

The necklace is finished off perfectly with a trace chain and silver tag on the back which can be engraved with up to three initials. I think looks beautiful draping down the back of the neck, it’s an extra focal piece and it looks more luxurious than just finishing with a plain clasp. The trace chain means you can choose to wear it as either 16/18 inches or 20/22 inches in length.

Jana has so many beautiful pieces and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from her again, especially when I want a special gift for someone to cherish but also be able to use and get joy from.

Jana has been very generously offered to create a whale necklace like mine for one lucky reader. For your chance to win, use the app below. Good luck!
