L’Auberge de Jaure Review

June 21, 2018 by Jenni 10 Comments

A couple of days ago I wrote about us finding a bargain dinner of 4 courses with wine for €14 at Ange and Lo in Villamblard. Today, we found another bargain 4 courses with wine for €14 in the neighbouring village of Jaure.  L’Auberge is on the corner as you are going through Jaure and across the road is a beautiful picnic spot and stream with plenty of parking. At this price there is only one menu so no use if you are vegetarian or have allergies but we found it absolutely delicious. We were given a basket of bread, the starter was a beautiful salad of cheese, lettuce, olives and tomatoes with oil drizzled over. The main course was pork with green beans and boiled potatoes in a mustard sauce. We then had a cheese course before fruit salad. We were given a jug of water to share and red wine. Everything was cooked to perfection including the pork which I can be really fussy about x

Ooh this all looks so good and such good value! It always feels so much cheaper to eat out abroad than over here, and a lot of the time so much tastier!

That is an incredible value for money and so much selection to chose from although I would struggle with the cheese as I cannot eat dairy.

That is an incredible price, you’d be hard pushed to get 2 courses for 14€ in my part of France, the Côte d’Azur. Thanks for linking to #AllAboutFrance
