It’s been ages since I have done one of these posts but we have bought Lucas some shoes and wellies over the last couple of weeks so thought it was time to link up again.
I went to get Lucas’ feet measured at Paces and Laces, Lucas was horrendous. He did not want his feet being measured and he did not want new shoes. He’s definitely like me in that he doesn’t like change. Thankfully, the lady was very patient with us and we got fitted up.
I chose some Richter navy boots as they will go with everything and should keep his feet warm and dry in winter. I adored his old trainers but the slightest bit of wet grass he went through, his feet were wet. They were also reduced from £34 to £21 so I was very happy with that.
I hid his old shoes and left the new ones lying around the living room hoping he would get used to them. He would whinge and didn’t want to get dressed until he could see the old ones. I ended up taking his new shoes to his childminders and within half an hour of him being there I was sent a photo of him with his new ones on and we haven’t gone back.
D bought Lucas some wellies from ebay, we haven’t managed to get him to keep these on yet but hopefully he will soon then we can go walking in the fields.
Lucas was given some Nike trainers for his birthday and they now fit him. Again, he’s been hard work at getting him to wear them but he has been out in them once with D when I was at work. I’m thinking maybe I should leave new shoes to other people as they get further than me.
As much as Lucas hasn’t liked getting new shoes, he loves his Uncles first shoes that my Mum keeps on her fireplace. They are red leather from Clarks and will be about 28 years old. They fit Lucas perfectly x
Oh my goodness how cute it is wearing his uncles shoes, I love that! I wonder if he’ll still have in another 28 years for any kiddies he may have. Goodness my daughters first shows are scuffed I can’t see them being any good for anyone, shame though. Glad the little man had got some shoes he likes. Those wellies look very cool! Thanks for linking up at #familyfun. Hope to see you again next week xx
We need to get our little one his autumn boots and shoes. I love these ones, they’re so cute!
We need to look at shoe buying soon. Not looking forward to it really, I struggle keeping socks on him at the moment. Love those wellies they are cute! Thanks for linking up to #familyfun
Haha our toddler is horrendous trying to measure his feet too so I know your pain! I love the navy boot – great for Autumn.
