FFX Tools recently offered to let us review some products from their site. I hadn’t heard of them before so I had a nosy at what they offered and they offer a lot!
Folkestone Fixings began trading in 2003 and became a limited company in 2006. As well as branches in Ashford and Folkestone, FFX has its head office and distribution centre in Lympne, Kent. The online business is run from there, today one of the largest independent suppliers of power tools and power tool accessories, hand tools, fixings and fasteners, and general construction consumables.
They have a huge array of tools, hardware, clothing, work protection, camping equipment, garden furniture etc, seriously, I could go on forever.

As we are trying to redecorate the whole house this year and currently looking at doing a garden makeover, D chose some boots to use whilst doing the garden and any other manual work.

He chose DeWalt challenger sympatex boots. They have a lightweight and flexible design which enables them to absorb large amounts of shock along with the steel toe cap which can handle up to 200 joules. They have a full-grain nubuck leather upper with a Sympatex waterproof and breathable membrane. The TPU sole is resistant to petrol, chemicals, oil and temperatures of up to 120°C. The sole is anti-static for increased protection. There is also a steel midsole for underfoot protection and a dual-density anti-bacterial insole.
D has worn them whilst doing some gardening and also when we went to Southport for the day to test their comfort whilst working as well as walking a long distance. D really likes them, they offer the protection he needs whilst working and just as importantly, they are comfortable and true to size.
