Summer was nice while it lasted wasn’t it? Now the weather has made a miserable turn I’ve been thinking about what films I want to watch with Lucas. There’s no way he would sit through one now but I must admit that I am looking forward to when he will curl up on the sofa with us and watch a movie whilst we eat popcorn. He is loving Organix Puffcorn* at the moment, baked corn and rice with no hard kernels. A delicious treat (my favourite is the sweet cinnamon) without any added junk.
One film I would love to watch with him is one I was obsessed with when I was younger, Zoom the White Dolphin, unfortunately I can’t manage to find it on DVD but I have found some bits of it on YouTube. I’m not sure where we got it from because I don’t know anyone else that has ever heard of it haha but it was my go to film when I wasn’t feeling well.
The Lion King in my opinion is the best Disney film ever. I’m going to have to dig my box set out to watch with Lucas. Although the moment on the cliff with Mufasa does upset me every time, I think this is one he will enjoy with all the songs throughout it.
I love Anastasia, a combination of tension, love and laughter as an eighteen-year-old amnesiac orphan named Anya who, in hopes of finding some trace of her family, sides with con men who wish to take advantage of her likeness to the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna.
Many people love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but D prefers the original, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
, I’m not keen on either but this will definitely be one for a boys days in.
Mary Poppins , a classic family feel good film. On every Christmas so one we will be watching with Lucas this year.
On my wishlist to watch all these films is a fancy new TV such as a Panasonic 4K TV* but I think I will wait until Lucas has stopped hovering around the TV happily putting his finger marks all over it! What are your favourite family films?x
I love family film days. They’re the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.
I love Mary Poppins, my Daughter used to watch it over and over when she was little. I love popcorn but have never tried any flavoured popcorn, I really need to take the plunge and try it x
Family film days are the best! A good selection of snacks is a must too.
As a kid I loved watching The Lion King and when I was a teenager my parents took me to see The Lion King on Broadway. I still sing all the songs! I need to watch a lot of these movies again! Thanks for the post! xoxo
I love movie days, getting cosy and getting all the food – the best!
I agree the best Disney film is definitely the lion king, its my favourite at least.
I completely agree with you that The Lion King is the best Disney film ever, that whole era of Disney films is amazing to be honest – I love Aladdin and Hercules too. x
Even now I love sitting back and watching some of the classic family movies from my childhood something calming about it. x
I love to have family film days but often get left watching movies on my own.
These are some of my favorite classics. I haven’t heard of Zoom the White Dolphin though.
I don’t think a lot of people have haha x
I can watch The Lion King over and over again x
Totally agree with you! Lion King is by far my favourite and I still have my samba cuddly toy to this day!
Out of them Mary poppins is my favourite then the lion king 🙂
Banana puffcorn? Why not? Just perfect for these classic movies. 🙂
I love family film days and even though my children are older, we still have them! Just not so many animated films now though, which I miss
I have to admit that I am a bit of Frozen fan now thanks to my daughter. However, my all time favourite is the Jungle Book.
Friday evening is out family film time. We go through phases of favourites with Kung Fu Panda being high on the list. Zoom the white dolphin is a new one on me though!
