Many of us have heard the game “Among Us” talked about. In fact, Lucas is obsessed with it! Among Us is a multiplayer space-themed social deduction game, developed and published by American game studio InnerSloth and released on June 15, 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, in which players each take on one of two roles, most commonly Crewmate or Impostor.
What is Among Us?
The goal for the Crewmates is to complete all of the tasks assigned to them, while the Impostors’ goal is to sabotage the ship and kill as many Crewmates as possible. The Impostors can use vents to move around the map more quickly, and can also fake tasks in order to throw off the Crewmates.
Meanwhile, the Crewmates can use their communication skills to discuss who they think the Impostor is and can use visual cues to try to figure out if someone is lying.
If a body is found, players will vote on who they think the Impostor is. If the majority of players vote for the same person, that player will be ejected from the ship. If the Impostor is ejected, the Crewmates win; if not, the Impostor wins.
What age is Among Us for?
This question is one I have searched several times, finding contradicting information each time. The Entertainment Software Rating Board recommends players be at least 10 years of age or older, while the Apple App Store says that 9+ is okay. The Google Play Store rate it as 7+. The game features cartoonish violence, including characters getting stabbed or impaled by knives. As well as the game content, when played online, as with all online games, you need to be aware that the communication between players may not be suitable for younger players.
How many people can play?
Among Us can be played with four to fifteen players.
Is there a sequel?
Innersloth officially announced the cancellation of Among Us 2 on September 23, 2020, after brainstorming the idea, saying that most of the content planned for the sequel would instead come to the original game.

Among Us is available on PC, iOS, and Android. The game can be purchased on Steam, the App Store, and Google Play. You can also get it on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.

Lucas has an Among Us bag for school this year, has a list of Among Us clothes he has seen and is already searching for party decorations in the Among Us theme for his birthday in February! The Among Us toy collection is available from Smyths, HMV, The Works, WHSmith, Game and Littlewoods. Lucas received a figural keychain, there are several styles available and with all blind bags, you don’t know which you will get when you purchase. Lucas got a dead body, which he immediately put on the zip of his school bag. He also got 2 blind bags of the series 2 crew mates, a grey plush toy and a set of stampers. The stampers are sold in packs of 4, if bought online, you can’t choose which you will receive but if you go into a store, you will be able to see and pick the preferred set. The stampers are great fun for doing arts and crafts or decorating books and diaries. Lucas also uses the stampers as characters with his other figures to play the game with us.
