With packing to move house, half term, working and Morgana, I haven’t had a chance to write about Lucas’ birthday. He was 7 a couple of weeks ago. He requested a Pokemon themed birthday so I bought him some new Pokemon tops and also saw an offer at Zavvi through the power of Facebook ads that have 3 adult Pokemon t-shirts for €25 so I also ordered Dan a couple of t-shirts and myself one. I love Zavvi as they have an assortment of characters but in retro designs rather than childlike so I know we will both use the t-shirts over and over again, not just for one day.
Lucas wanted to go out for a meal so for lunch we booked a table at L’Envie Gourmande where Dan took me for my birthday. It was delicious and Lucas loved it. We said that it was Lucas’ birthday and with his desert, they gave him a Pokemon card and a candle lit and came out singing Joyeux Anniversaire.
After lunch, we returned home and played games. We had decorated the living room with Pokemon decorations and I bought some Pokemon treats including personalised marshmallows that had a Pokemon design on one side and ‘Lucas is 7’ on the other side. I also got sherbet flying saucers that had a photo of Lucas on some and Pokemon decor on others. I bought those from Thema Deco as well as Pokemon sweets and Pokemon candles, which I put on a chocolate tart Lucas chose from L’eclerc.
