I have always been pretty lucky in that I can eat what I want and don’t tend to put on weight. I’ve always been fairly confident too, where I haven’t been one to think too much about what other people think. I still don’t, it doesn’t bother me if someone thinks I am either too big or too thin, I don’t think I will ever understand why people think it’s ok to judge people on their size and truly believe the ones doing that, are the ones unhappy with some aspect of their own life.
However, lately I’m feeling not so happy with myself. I have always eaten breakfast, as soon as I used to wake up it would be my first priority, yet recently I haven’t been eating breakfast. I’ve been making Lucas breakfast but only having a drink myself. I just don’t feel hungry but I don’t know if it’s because I’ve got out of the habit of it. This is something I need to start doing again, even if it’s just a piece of fruit or yoghurt to begin with.

As a virtual assistant I am also often up working til 1-2 in the morning as I do my work when Lucas goes to bed. I am then back up again when Lucas wakes between 6-7am. The past few nights I have been finding myself reaching for a chocolate bar at around midnight to give myself a little boost. I know more sleep would help but realistically it isn’t going to happen so I need to get myself into better habits.
I am going to get some healthier snacks in for when I do want something at midnight, rather than a chocolate bar.
I am also going to look for an exercise class I can take when Lucas is in nursery once a week, at the moment I am using this time to work but I still find myself working til stupid o’clock in the evening so I think it would be more productive and a healthier choice to use an hour of this time to get back into an exercise class or swimming as physically and emotionally I think this would give me a boost.
