It’s my birthday today, I am now 32…I think it still classes as early 30s but I genuinely didn’t think I was that old. My mind is still set at 30, it didn’t occur to me that 2 years have past, that my baby is now nearly 3 years old. It’s got me thinking though of what I would like to do or achieve before I am 40, I remember when I was younger I wanted to visit New York, I couldn’t wait to go shopping and explore Bloomingdales, Tiffany’s and Barneys. I never went but I also don’t have the inclination to go now, the thought of going to a city full of skyscrapers doesn’t excite me anymore, I’d rather have space and nature around me. Another thing I used to want to do was sky diving but since having Lucas that has lost its appeal. I also wanted to go on a hot air balloon which I haven’t done yet. One thing I did do was go to India, I was torn between India and Mexico and ended up going to India for 3 months when I was 19.
So I really hope by writing these down I will be more likely to do them x
- Take Lucas to Disney World
- Go to the Opera, I’m going to aim for anywhere but ideally it would be in Italy
- Have afternoon tea at the Ritz
- Move house
- See a show at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville
- Fly in a hot air balloon
- Learn a second language, I got a B in French GCSE and a C in German GCSE and I can’t remember anything other than hello, how are you. I would love to start French again or Spanish
- Go on a spa day
- As I mentioned above I have always wanted to sky dive and although that desire disappeared since having lucas, I could still do an indoor one
- Take Lucas to Lapland
- See the Northern Lights
- Go on a cruise
- Visit my cousin in New Zealand
- Go on a weekend away with my blogging buddies
- Go on safari, I have this in my mind for my 40th birthday
- Go axe throwing with my friends
- Find a local pilates class and attend regularly. I attended Pilates before I was pregnant then went to pre natal yoga and I would love to start pilates again
- Start swimming on my own again. I used to go in the evening to the ladies only nights but I only go with Lucas now and don’t actually do much swimming myself
- Explore our local area more, using my list of free places to visit in Lancashire as guidance
