This past couple of weeks Lucas has developed the paddy, one minute everything is fine in his world and the next, maybe because the kitchen door is no longer open or because Postman Pat has stopped playing, he will throw himself to the floor. He has a little thrash around and cry then goes still and you can see him wondering why he put himself there and he pops his head up, says Hiya and continues as if nothing had happened. He’s also developed a horrible scream, it goes through me, it gives me a headache, I hope this one is a short phase.
So when D offered to take Lucas to the park so I could go back to bed, I happily obliged. I’m not one that can go back to sleep though, if I’ve got up with Lucas at 5.30 there’s no way I can settle back a couple of hours later. By then I feel like it’s the middle of the day so instead of sleeping, I ran a bath and had a relaxing soak.
