Like so many of us in today’s world, we have found ourselves needing to work from home. For some, this was a temporary inconvenience. For others, this is now a permanent working situation. So how do you set up the best home office within your given situation? Below are some easy tips to set up your home office.
Location, Location, Location
When setting up your home office, location is the key to success. Some homes already have an office or maybe a spare room, but for many, there is no such space and so the question is, where do you set it up? If you find yourself running into this problem, the best question to ask is, where can you find the most seclusion? No, the toilet room will not work even though that is likely the first answer to this question so let’s go with the next best answer. This can vary from house to house. Sometimes a big closet is an answer, or if you have an extra spacious bathroom that could work. A bedroom is a possibility as well, but it isn’t always as private.
Privacy
In any of these options that you choose to set up your space a good suggestion is to get a small partition to surround your space. It will define the space. The other thing that it will do is allow you to set up in a place that may have things in the background that you don’t want your colleagues to see in a video conference call. Also, having a defined space might make it feel more like an actual office, which will help your productivity.

Desk
The desk space is also just crucial. If you have a lot of space then a spacious desk will be all right, but if you are in a more cramped location then a large desk will be overbearing. Another thing to consider is, do you want to be sitting the whole time? If you are looking for some other opportunities to get some standing time while working then you should look at this option. A standing desk can save you a lot of hassle.
We have got the Flexispot Ergonomic Standing Desk E7. This standing desk has a smart control panel, anti-collision system, child lock, and a streamlined design. What I love the most is the ease of changing my position and accommodating the concept of standing while working and making it easier for you to stand or sit while you work. It really is as simple as pressing the button to go as high or low as you want for standing or sitting. As I work from home, I am often working with Morgana in the room with me so I also needed to make sure the desk wouldn’t wake her, if she had fallen to sleep. The movement of the desk is silent which is perfect for us and if you are working near others, you can be sure that it won’t disturb them. You can choose the colour of the frame and desktop to coordinate perfectly in your home office. There is also a sale with up to 38% off between 23 May to 31 May 2022.
Ambience
Think about how your space will feel to you. Is it set up in a way that will be conducive to working? The partition will help within having that separation, but what else would make it feel more like an office? Maybe a corkboard hung up with notes on it or a calendar somewhere on the wall or desk? Think about what will help it feel like the space you worked in before and what will be beneficial in this space.
