It’s where you watch TV, relax and drink your coffee. Your living room is one of the most used spaces in your home, and naturally, it deserves that little re-do.

You can do that even when you’re on a budget. Discover some of the best actionable tips to redo your living room even when you’re trying to stick to a budget.

Get Some Indoor Plants

One of the simplest and the most cost-effective ways to breathe life into your living room is to bring in some greenery with indoor plants! A quick visit to the nursery should let you pick up some good low maintenance indoor plants with decent foliage, that can thrive well in different corners and areas of your living room.

Make a Statement with a Nice Carpet

Simply updating the carpet in your room can lend it a fresh new feel. This might seem like an investment to make, but if you head the right way, you can actually pick up a good one that fits the theme of your living room from the tons of cheap and budget-friendly carpets out there.

Brighten Up a Wall

Another excellent idea to give your living room a little makeover is by brightening up a wall. You can highlight a specific wall by giving it a coat of textured paint, or have a new wallpaper put up, or create a gallery of pictures, or even hang a fabric wall hanging up there, depending on the vibe you’re trying to achieve. All of these shouldn’t cost too much either.

Give Your Furniture Some TLC

When buying new pieces of furniture is out of the question, simply updating the upholstery can work a little magic and brighten up your room! If you’ve been sticking to a neutral colour palette for your room, adding in a pop of colour could be a great move. If you’re concerned about the price factor when it comes to updating the upholstery for large pieces of furniture, you can also consider grabbing a few inexpensive throws and drapes to put over the furniture!

Update Your Cushions

Another way to add a touch of oomph to your living room is to dress up your cushions in some bright, new cushion covers. Of course, if you’re into DIY, you can make them yourself and save some money while you’re at it, but even if you’re not, you should be able to find some great picks from the plenty of budget-friendly options you’ll usually find!
