Small Changes That Improve My Skin and Joint Health – Giveaway

August 13, 2025 by Jenni

PR Sample

As the years go by, I’ve become more aware of how lifestyle choices impact both my skin and my joints. While I’ve always believed in looking after myself from the inside out, this year I’ve made a few simple tweaks to my daily routine that have started to make a difference, not just in how I look, but in how I feel.

None of these changes are complicated or extreme; they’re small, manageable steps that fit easily into everyday life. Here’s what I’ve been doing.

Boosting Collagen Levels for Skin Elasticity and Joint Health

One of the most noticeable changes our bodies go through as we age is the gradual loss of collagen. Collagen is the protein that keeps our skin plump and firm, and it also supports our joints, tendons, and ligaments. As levels decline, skin can lose elasticity, fine lines appear, and joints can start to feel less supple.

I’ve just started taking Revive Collagen Enhanced Plus. While the brand recommends taking it for at least six to eight weeks to start seeing benefits, I wanted to share my first impressions after two weeks.

  • 10,000mg Type 1 Hydrolysed Marine Collagen per serving
  • Includes retinol and keratin – the only collagen drink I’ve seen with both.
  • 20x stronger than an average collagen tablet
  • 100% of your daily Vitamin B6, B12, C and D

It comes in handy tropical-flavoured sachets, so it’s easy to take on the go. You can drink it straight out of the sachet or mixed with water. I tried drinking out of the sachet and found it to be too strong tasting. I now mix it in a small glass of water and have it with my breakfast.

I can’t make big claims after a short trial, but I have noticed my skin feeling more hydrated, and within a week of taking it, I felt a boost in my mood. I’m curious to see what longer use might bring. If you’d like to try it, there’s £15 off when you spend £55+ using this link.

Revive Collagen has teamed up with Vitamin Angels, a global public‑health charity dedicated to supporting mothers and children in need. For every box of Revive Collagen purchased, the brand donates a full 6‑month supply of life‑supporting vitamins to a child or expectant mother, with the aim of helping hundreds of thousands annually across 65 countries. Their co-founder, Samantha Faiers, underscores the importance of addressing malnutrition, a leading cause of preventable child deaths, by stating that “good health is a human right” and emphasising their shared mission to create healthier futures together.

Trying Natural Anti-Ageing Supplements with Medicinal Mushrooms

Alongside collagen, I’ve added a daily dose of Elev8 LushMush, a blend of eight medicinal mushrooms, each with unique health benefits.

  • Lion’s Mane for focus and mental clarity
  • Turkey Tail, Reishi, Shiitake & Maitake for immune support
  • Chaga & Tremella for antioxidant-rich skin nourishment
  • Cordyceps for stamina and energy

They’re made from 100% fruiting bodies (no fillers) and freeze-dried to retain maximum nutrients. I’ve been adding a scoop to my Weetabix in the morning. You can get 25% off with code CWL25 on the LushMush website.

Switching to a Natural Retinal Serum for Smoother Skin

Skincare is still a big part of my self-care, and this year, as it’s the last year in my thirties, I treated myself to Tropic Youth Potion, the world’s first natural retinal serum.

  • 11x faster than retinol for visible results
  • Plant peptides and bakuchiol to smooth fine lines
  • Multivitamins, phytonutrients, and Coenzyme Q10 to brighten and even skin tone

It’s also won Best New Skin Product at the 2024 CEW Beauty Awards. I’ve been using it in my evening routine, and my skin feels smoother and more radiant without the dryness retinol sometimes causes.

Reducing Stress with Mindful Colouring

Stress shows up on our skin just as much as on our mood. One of the best things I’ve done for both is to carve out short, mindful breaks. I’ve been turning to the Tropical Calm series, a colouring book, a journal, and a daily planner, whenever I need to slow down.

Colouring isn’t just for children; it can reduce stress, improve focus, and give you a moment of calm in a busy day. The Tropical Calm designs are inspired by lush, leafy scenes and tropical escapes, perfect for letting your mind wander while you fill the pages with colour.

Staying Consistent with Small, Healthy Habits

All of these changes are small, but the real key is sticking with them. Whether it’s taking a supplement, using a serum, or spending 10 minutes with a colouring book, it’s the daily consistency that adds up over time.

I’m not chasing overnight transformations, I’m building habits that I can keep up for the long haul, supporting my skin, my joints, and my overall well-being as the years go on.

Final Thoughts on Supporting Skin and Joint Health

You don’t need to overhaul your entire lifestyle to make a difference. Sometimes the most effective changes are the simplest, adding one new habit at a time, paying attention to how your body responds, and making adjustments as you go.

If you’ve been thinking about making small tweaks to support your skin and joints, maybe some of these ideas will inspire you.
