The importance of being healthy is a must. Having a healthy body also encourages a healthy mind. Being healthy allows you to feel good about yourself, giving you a great amount of self-confidence.

Replenish Yourself

Water! Water! Water! Water does so many great things for your body. For one, it cleans out your system. This gives you an overall healthy feeling. Water refreshes you. How many times have you said “Ahhhhh,” after drinking a glass of water?

It is recommended that you drink at least eight glasses of water a day, so whenever you reach for that can of pop, pull out your self-control and drink water. This will help your overall appearance, giving you smooth, glowing skin, and healthier hair.

If you are like me and have trouble being consistent with eight glasses a day, get a water jug. There are jugs sized for the recommended daily intake of water you need. This allows you to carry it around with you all day and prevents dehydration when you have water at your fingertips.

Exercise It Out

Exercising keeps your body fit and in shape. This can also eliminate unhealthy body fat. Try exercising at the beginning of each day when you’re more likely to do it. Exercising in the morning time will help you feel fresh, renewed, and ready to take on the new day. You are doing your body so many favours by getting off the couch!

Your body receives loads of energy after working out. It allows you to tackle work and school tasks while being more concentrated. Also, exercising makes you an overall happier person; it will leave you wondering where all that positive energy you’ve been displaying came from. If you happen to be time-limited because of a busy schedule, then try to improvise some workouts. Take the stairs while at work or running errands, rather than the elevator.

Park farther away from your job than you usually would and give yourself a mini-workout. For those of you that are currently in lockdown, a gentle stroll up the road or around your garden can do wonders for your mental health, allowing you some fresh air at the same time. You may even want to sign up for a challenge such as the couch to 5K.

Being positive is not only a great quality to have but it is one that can be passed down from person to person. Being positive creates happiness and good energy while eliminating unwanted stress, which can take its toll on your health.

Positivity affects how you look at yourself as well as how you look at others. It keeps you calm in worrying situations. There is always a good part and a not so good part; being positive allows you to ignore the not so good part.

 

Drinking water, Exercising, and being a positive person can directly affect your lifestyle. If you choose to follow these three steps, I guarantee you will start to feel better about yourself and be on your way to a healthier and less stressful you.

  1. I love this post and such great tips for everyday! I am working on my water intake as I have not been so good about making sure to get enough each day and it really makes a difference. Excel I sing is my top priority this year too!
