Children in Need has been raising money since 1927 for children and young people within the UK. Their vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood that is safe, happy, secure and allows them to reach their full potential. They provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. They are local to people throughout the UK and support small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.
This years televised appeal is on Friday 13th November on BBC 1 at 7.30pm and among the many guests are Rod Stewart, Selena Gomez and Years & Years. Sir Terry Wogan is hosting with Tess Daly, Nick Grimshaw, Rochelle Humes and Fearn Cotton.

I used to love children in need as a child, I do find it quite disheartening that even though so much gets raised each year there are still children living in poverty.

I love Children in Need. It’s such a great cause. I love watching it and seeing the amount raised going up. Also Terry Wogan is awesome. I miss his wit from the Eurovision.
