Captain Jacks Blackpool review

Last week we spent a couple of nights in Blackpool. On the first night we found ourselves shipwrecked on the promenade and decided to visit Captain Jacks for tea as Lucas was eager to go into the arcade once he spotted Minions! Captain Jacks is situated at the side of Coral Island arcade so we popped in for some tea before going in there. Upon arriving we were greeted by an extremely happy and polite waitor who took us to our table and provided us with our menus, colouring paper and crayons for our little pirate. He took our drinks order whilst we scoured the menu for our hearty fayre, looking through the menu we realised that kids eat free, which was a bonus.

Our drinks arrived and we placed our food order. D ordered the full hunters chicken, I ordered the hanging kebab and Lucas had his favourite nuggets and chips. Whilst we waited it gave us a good chance to take in decor of the place which is superbly done in the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. There are numerous televisions dotted around playing films to keep the little ones occupied and great music playing subtly in the background.

The food arrived in good time and the one of the main things we were impressed with was the quality and friendliness of the service. D’s chicken was cooked to perfection and fell off the bone and the hunters sauce complemented it well. Lucas devoured his nugget and chips coming up for air occasionally. My hanging Kebab came hung up on a skewer and was full of delicious marinated chicken, peppers and mushrooms which was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend it and will definitely be returning. We also visited Las Iguanas which was just incredible!
