Every child loves playing traditional card games, Usborne Snap in French will enrapture very young children, and make a superb gift.

Delightfully illustrated with Jo Litchfield’s hand-made model characters, the cards feature everyday objects such as apples and balloons.

As you can see in the photos, these have been taken at different times, I think with about a year apart as we play this game so often. It’s fab for popping in my bag to play whilst we are out and it’s an excellent way for a child or adult to learn some simple French words whilst having fun.

    I think it is important to be able to speak more than one language and this is the perfect way to start learning at an early age
