I was recently sent a woolover shrug and poncho to try out. I chose it as it looked so versatile and an easy top to throw over anything without looking out of place. Another bonus when wearing it as a poncho has been easiness for breastfeeding. I have styled it in as many ways as I could manage, there were another couple of ways suggested that I couldn’t manage. My favourite way to wear it was as a cardigan and poncho.

I loved it from opening the parcel, it feels luxuriously soft and is incredible quality, made of 30% cashmere and 70% merino. I have always looked at cashmere jumpers and left them thinking I would ruin them in the wash. I don’t have time to be doing separate delicate washes or hand washes.

The shrug carries the Woolmark, showing it has met strict performance levels. It has been specially treated to prevent shrinking, while maintaining the natural properties and benefits of wool. It is recommended that it is washed on a wool cycle of a maximum 40 degrees, using a woolmark endorsed detergent. I washed it on a normal 40 wash using Tesco baby non bio and it came out perfectly. No horrible bobbly bits and still beautifully soft. The shrug retails at £50 which I think is a fab price for the amount of wears I am going to get out of it. It is a great item to have through all the seasons.

Woolovers ship worldwide. As business they are trying to become more sustainable, they are proud to say they have only used natural yarns for 30 years.
Cashmere, merino wool, lambswool and pure wool are not only soft and breathable but also biodegrade over time.

I’ve never heard of a Woolover before and now I want one too. I love clothes/accessories that are versatile. This one is perfect for spring and those summer days when it’s just still a little bit chilly šŸ˜‰ x

That does look cosy. I keep meaning to try merino wool to see if I can tolerate it (I can’t manage to wear normal wool).
