TJ Hughes offered to send us a couple of items to enjoy in the garden this Summer. I chose a Mickey Mouse patio set and swing ball as I thought it would be perfect for Lucas to practice his football.
The patio set is very cute and Lucas loves it. It was incredibly easy to assemble and features 2 chairs with a table and sun umbrella. The table and chairs are nice and sturdy and have a safety look on them so they can’t accidentally fold down and Lucas can’t do them himself.

The swing ball set doubles up as reflex football. I initially wanted this as I thought Lucas would love it for the football and we wouldn’t have to keep going after the football. I set it up as football but once I did he went looking for the bats and tennis ball so I changed it to that for him. The tennis ball came on the string already and I can see why as it is difficult to thread back through! Once I managed it, Lucas loved trying to hit the ball, he still has a long way to go with his hand eye co-ordination but he is enjoying trying. I have played a few times with my parents and it is a great way to spend some time in the garden. It is meant for 2 players, I was under the impression that you could hit the ball and it would whirl all around the stand but it doesn’t, it is meant for a 2nd player to hit/kick the ball back.
The patio set is currently on offer for £19.99 and swing ball for £9.99 which I think is great value for money and perfect for keeping the children entertained during the Summer holidays x
