Have you ever been to a glamping site? You might think of it as a fancier version of camping, but it’s much more. Glamping sites offer many amenities that traditional campsites don’t have, including indoor showers and toilets, electricity and running water, Wi-Fi connection points with cables, and even air conditioning. But if you’re new to this experience, there are some tips you should know before your first trip.
Choose the right location and amenities
Before going glamping, you must choose the right location and amenities. Some campgrounds have more amenities than others, so you’ll want to ensure that you choose a place that fits your needs.
If you plan on taking a lot of trips with your family or friends, the campground must have a lot of space for everyone. You don’t want to feel like you’re always on top of each other!
You’ll also want to consider whether or not there are enough bathrooms and showers available at the campsite. Some places only have one bathroom per 100 people, leading to long lines and dirty conditions when everyone is trying to get ready for bedtime all at once!
Do your research on the weather
In most parts of the country, depending on where you live, weather can vary significantly depending on season and location. Some places are known for having wet summers or dry winters. If you’re camping in an area with a reputation for being either hot or cold (or both), then finding out what kind of temperatures you can expect will be important so that you know how many warm clothes and blankets to bring along with you.
Fortunately, hybrid campers are great for going glamping, so if you choose to go out and you suddenly find yourself caught in bad weather, you don’t have to worry too much, you can just jump back into the car.
Make a plan for meals and supplies
It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of camping and forget that you need to make a plan for meals and supplies before you go glamping.
With so many options for camping food, it’s easy to think that all you need to do is pick up some snacks at the store on your way out of town. But what happens when the kids get hungry if you don’t have a plan for meals and supplies before you go glamping? Or when the picnic blanket gets dirty? Of course, you don’t want to be stuck without food or water while trying to enjoy nature—that’s not what glamping is all about. With a bit of planning beforehand, however, you can ensure that everything goes smoothly and no one has any trouble staying hydrated or getting fed.
Get packing
Packing is stressful. It’s especially stressful when you’re away from home for a long time. Why should you pack before glamping? It’ll make your life easier and help you enjoy the trip.
When you pack before you go, all your clothes are ready to go in one place. You don’t have to worry about what’s clean or dirty or where your favourite sweater is—just grab everything and go! When you’re relaxing at camp with nothing else to do but enjoy nature, all that stress will disappear as soon as you put on your favourite outfit and head out for a walk.
And if there’s anything worse than packing, it’s unpacking when you return home. With so much stuff in tow, unpacking can feel like an eternity! But if everything was already packed before leaving home, the whole process takes no time at all—and then you can spend even more time enjoying being back at home with friends and family.
