Lucas was recently sent a Little World Builder box. Little World Builder are award-winning architecture and culture subscription boxes aimed at children aged between 6 and 11 year old.
You can choose from the world-building edition which discovers the world-famous buildings with hands-on projects and fun activities. These include Big Ben, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Hall of Supreme Harmony, Empire State Building and Sydney Opera House.
The world structure edition explores the world-famous structures that marked history. These include the Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China, Statue of Liberty, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Maya Pyramid and Arc de Triomphe.
Lucas received the world-building classic box. You receive a Builder Kit in the first month and World Building themed kits every month thereafter. Each Classic themed kit comes with 1 Activity Pack, 1 themed 3D Puzzle with easy-to-follow instructions for kids and 1 Building Themed Craft.
The builder kit consists of a yellow and blue toolbox that your child can use to keep admission tickets and learning materials. Hailey and Caesar share their experiences each month too and these postcards can be kept in the box. There is also a builder scrapbook to add to each month with the stickers and certificates that are sent.
In the Big Ben classic box, Lucas received lots to learn about the Great Bell, the Great Clock and the Great Tower. He learnt about Ayrton Light – the green shade of light that lit at the top of the tower and the purpose of it. Through a variety of materials including a Postcard, Fact Cards, an Activity Card, a Scrapbook Page and Stickers, a 3D Puzzle of the building, a craft gift and finally a Personalised Award Certificate. Lucas loved doing the activities which involved colouring in a self-inflating balloon and building Big Ben too. He needed a little help at times connecting it together but mainly managed it himself and loved the outcome of his hard work.
The activity card included a maze for him to get through but it also gave information about Big Ben’s Chimes too which I read to him. There was some information about how the first Big Ben was made and how it got transported to London port, I read this to Lucas, then he had to write the correct sails name down. Another page included lots of clocks where Lucas needed to tell the time and write it down underneath before finishing the activity book of by drawing Big Ben with a step by step guide. The book was a fun way to learn about Big Ben and kept Lucas engaged in the subject.
Lucas was also very lucky to receive Grandpa’s House which is currently free with new subscriptions. This was a little more fiddly to build but lots of fun and we enjoyed completing it together.
