Last Thursday, my friend and I got the train into Liverpool to enjoy a 2 course meal and cocktail at Liberté in Liverpool. I had been invited* to try their taster menu and thought it was the perfect excuse for Zoe and I to have a couple of hours in the city without the children interrupting us and get back to being us, rather than our lost identities in being Mums.
Liberté has stunning panoramic views of the city. Covering 2,000sq. ft on the third floor of the Bentley building and facing the waterfront. The menu includes a lot of pan Asian favourites as well as some of their own dishes with a twist. The interior is absolutely stunning with splashes of bright colours and flower covered walls.
When we arrived we were given the menu and some water for the table. I ordered vegetable spring rolls and wasabi aiolo for starter and Zoe ordered duck bon bons (confit duck and chinese cabbage) with hoi sin. For mains I ordered chicken katsu curry with liberté fried rice and Zoe ordered sticky salmon fillet and liberté noodles. We both had Liberté bellinis, I had mine with peach and Zoe had hers with strawberry.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the location of the restaurant was perfect. The views are breathtaking and it was close enough to walk from the train station and the shops for a bit of retail therapy. Whilst we were there we went up to the roof top from a sneak peek of it as it is being renovated to open up as a roof top bar. I can not wait for that to be completed! It will be incredible sitting up there having a couple of drinks having views of the three graces. Definitely one for both a girls night out and a romantic evening out x
