Although we are having a mild October compared to normal, there is a definite chill in the air now. My summer jacket has been washed and put away for another season and my big winter one has been released from the wardrobe once again.

My beloved sandals have been placed safely away with my summer clothes and my boots, much to D’s dismay returned to the front door waiting to go out. I’m the kind of person that when they find something they like and it’s comfortable I will continue to keep wearing until it is thoroughly worn out or until D throws it in the bin because he can’t stand the sight of it anymore (in his defence, he only did that once but it was my favourite hoody that I think I must have had for about 10 years, think of it as my comfort blanket).

So as you can imagine not only was I happy to be offered* some new boots for winter, D was delighted that the others would be parked in the back porch and he wouldn’t have to see them on a daily basis. Brantano contacted me to see if I would like to pick a pair of boots, obviously I said yes and immediately started perusing their website. There are an abundance to chose from, no matter what style you want, I think it would be hard to not find a pair to suit. I finally decided on Lotus Lilian Ankle Boots in black.

Lotus Lilian Ankle Boots Review. black leather boots with military strap detailing and white stitching

The Lilian is military inspired with burnished leather and a wrap around buckle. They have a striking round toe with white stitching, I like that unique detailing. Most importantly they have a wearable 3cm block heel making them comfortable and easy to walk in daily even when I’m chasing after a toddler. They feel true to size and go well with both jeans and dresses making them perfect for dressing up or down depending on the occasion.
